How this resource helps
Help students compare outputs, zeros and intercepts using evidence from two different representations at matching inputs. Compare domains, ranges, extrema, symmetry, direction of change and rates on a stated common interval. Contextual tasks distinguish justified conclusions from unsupported extrapolation. The suggested three-session pathway translates before comparing, examines shape and change, and justifies conclusions and their limits. Seven instructional sections include warm-up, modeling, guided and collaborative practice, independent practice, small-group reteach and exit tasks. The reusable 60-task bank supports additional meetings; do not assign all 60 tasks in three sessions. Worked teacher keys, original graphs and tables, and generous workspaces support explanation. Students distinguish an intercept input from its output, average from constant rates, and limited table evidence from global function behavior. This packet addresses the NC Math 2 course standard, not a grade-specific standard. Download contains one 126-page PDF in a ZIP. No editable Word or PowerPoint files are included.
