How this resource helps
Identify two population parameters and calculate an observed difference from sample data. Construct and carry out a reproducible no-difference simulation with valid assumptions. Compare the observed difference with the simulated null distribution using a stated tail rule. Make a cautious population comparison that respects sampling, model assumptions and uncertainty. The suggested 3-session pathway covers: State the comparison and simulate; Compare observed and simulated differences; Qualify the inference. Seven instructional sections move from warm-up and modeling through guided, collaborative and independent practice to small-group reteach and exit tasks. Select tasks based on student evidence; the reusable 60-task bank is not intended to be assigned in full within the suggested sessions. Require population parameters, observed statistic, explicit null model, valid randomization, repeat count, tail count/fraction and a qualified conclusion. A small conditional tail fraction is evidence against the model, not proof of inequality or the probability the null is true. A large fraction does not prove equal populations. Random sampling supports cautious generalization; without random assignment, no treatment cause is established. Download contains one 129-page PDF in a ZIP.
