How this resource helps
Compare original stories with actual live-staged adaptations using gesture, pacing, practical sound and movement—not two silently read print passages. MANDATORY LIVE DELIVERY: Teacher rehearses 10–15 minutes before class and performs four provided original live scores (45 sec, 3 min, 1 min, 1 min). One adult, desk/chair, light empty box, paper cup/cards; no paid tools or special media equipment. Actual delivery is required. The 10–15 minute rehearsal/preparation is additional to the planned 80-minute lesson. Use gesture, movement, pauses and practical sounds. A silent reading of the scripts does not satisfy the written-text versus observed-performance comparison. One planned 80-minute route including reading/viewing/modeling/practice/assessment/support/exit. Replay/access needs may require documented extra time or two sessions. Students compare TWO matched moments with paragraph and ACTUAL observed evidence, explain each medium’s techniques/effects, use two different live techniques, and connect similarity/difference to meaning. Initial/revision scores separate. A silent script reading alone cannot complete this task. Core 3–15; conditional 16–17; blank 18–19 OR scaffold 20–21 replace 13–14; notes 22 substitute model annotation; later optional lab 23; teacher-only 24–45. Exact RL.7.7/clarification in uploaded 2017 NC Grade 7 PDF8/printed 6. Introductory prose-to-live-stage scope; later media/genre transfer remains appropriate. The 2017 North Carolina ELA standards apply in 2026–27. RL.7.7 is NOT in the current EOG-tested subset; original A–D questions provide FORMAT practice, not a tested-standard claim. No prerecorded audio/film, slides, paid equipment, official endorsement, exact EOG replication, score guarantee, field-tested timing or formal readability/accessibility/DOK certification. Teacher enactment is mandatory; not every medium/genre or complete Grade 7 mastery. PDF ONLY; no PowerPoint included.
